1. What we collect

Nothing. Tracely has no accounts and needs no sign-up or sign-in. It does not collect device identifiers, location, usage behavior, or any personal information, and it contains no third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs.

2. Where your data is stored

• On your device: the record types, records, tags, boards, and other data you create are saved on your device with Apple's SwiftData framework.
• Your private iCloud database (optional): when you are signed in to iCloud and sync is on, data syncs through Apple CloudKit to the private database under your Apple Account so your devices stay in sync. That database is hosted by Apple and can be read and written only by your own devices; the developer has no way to access its contents. iCloud data is also subject to the Apple Privacy Policy.
• Apple Watch (optional): data moves directly between your iPhone and Apple Watch through the system WatchConnectivity framework, without passing through any third-party server.

3. Backup files

You can export all of your data as a backup file. Exported backups are first saved inside the app (unreadable while your device is locked) and are included in your device's iCloud Backup; whether you then share them through the Files app, AirDrop, or elsewhere is up to you. Backups can optionally be encrypted with AES-GCM, using a key derived on your device from a passphrase you set. We never hold that passphrase and cannot recover it. Backups without a passphrase are plain text that anyone with the file can read, and the app labels them "Unencrypted". "Clear All Data" keeps these backup files by default; you can choose to delete them as well.

4. Supporting the developer and payments

Every feature of Tracely is free for everyone. If you would like to support development, you can do so from "Support the Developer" in the app:

• Tips: a small, medium, or large coffee. Tips are consumable purchases, paid for each time, and can be bought again.
• Monthly support: an auto-renewable subscription billed monthly. You can cancel anytime in Settings → Apple Account → Subscriptions.

Tips and monthly support are purely a way to support the developer. They do not add any features, and the app works the same whether or not you support it. Payments, refunds, and subscription management are all handled by Apple through the App Store (StoreKit). The app does not collect and cannot see your payment information (such as card numbers), and purchase receipts are verified on your device.

5. Deleting your data

• In the app, you can delete any record, record type, or the whole set of sample data at any time;
• In Settings → Apple Account → iCloud → Manage Account Storage, you can delete this app's iCloud data;
• Deleting the app removes all local data.

Because we hold none of your data, there is no need (and no way) to send us a data deletion request.

6. Children's privacy

Tracely is intended for a general audience (App Store age rating 4+) and does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

7. Changes to this policy

If future changes to the app require updating this policy (for example, adding a service that needs a network connection), we will update this page and the effective date at the top; significant changes will also be announced in the app.
